need help with a cfs3 modeling question please

ive just started building cfs3 planes using the cfs3 sdk with gmax 1.2, i can build the actual planes fine but whenever i go into cockpit view i get a kind of cut-away view and can see through the sides of the cockpit, i build the fuselage starting with a standard tube, am i doing this with the wrong material or something? i just cant seem to get it to look solid from cockpit view 
never mind its ok now, the problem was that i didnt name the fuselage sorry lol
