So, I was reading something about United Airlines jumpseating. It is my understanding that you must have a CASS pass to jumpseat any airliner today (post 9/11). My question is "What is a CASS pass and how does somebody redeem one"? I know getting one is not easy at all, but can somebody tell me how or what it is?
Thank You,
Brandon

CASS is a verification system for airline pilots. Each airline enters their pilots information into the system so that when pilots want to jump seat, the airline that they want a ride with can verify that they work for the airline they say they do. It's only for the airline industry.
Thank you!
That lonk is really helpful!
