Home-made dual throttle quadrant

I'm looking to build a throttle quadrant for dual-prop planes, and have been looking around at sites that show how to make them. I have found a few which are pretty useful, but I'm really not that good with electrics or programming, so wondered if anyone on this forum had seen any good sites, or made a throttle quadrant of their own?

I would be looking to use the wiring from another joystick (I have a game-port one I don't use much at the moment), but wasn't sure whether it would be best to use this one, or source a USB joystick?

Also, I would be looking to make my own control column (mainly for use with the Beech Kingair B200) in the future, so any links to sites with information on that would be cool
