Well I have been playing with FSX since it's launch and although I only have one issue which is a sound issue everything worked well.
I installed SP1 over a new install following the removal proceedures along with a re-boot and twice now the system has frozen and crashed.
I did what the forum said to the letter so I am now in the middle of de-installing and re-installing again.
The only thing I can think of is that maybe after I installed FSX again I did not run it before applying the patch.
My sound issue which has been here from the beggining is a noise/scratchy when the ATC talks and also when I swap views from outside and go back to the cockpit. I have to cycle through the views again. I also noticed it sparadically on certain flap drops.
Anyway just thought I would let you know this and if anyone has an idea please help.

I don't see a sound card on the list so it must be a integrated one.
See if there is a update for the board or the drivers.
If it's a Dell then call them or go to their site and forum.

AMD 64 MML 44
System says - soundmax intergrated audio
How do I get the correct sound info to work on upgrading the system?
Alien is owned by Dell so you should be able to call one of them for support unless your tech support is timed out.
If so check their site for the type of board you have so you can download drivers for it.
This will give you the information.
http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html
Then feed that into Google for drivers.
