Is ILS an important thing to know? because I skipped over it in the flying lessons, and just recently I got stuck in fog and couldn't land because I didn't know how to do ILS. So could I live without it, or do I NEED to know how to do it because I'll run into problems like that alot?
try to learn how to use nav. and auto-approach for landing in fog. 🙂

contrary to belief you donot have to do a ILS for aouto approach to work can be all visual.
and you don't have to fly in only a straight line in ILS
