After a while of being a member on flyaway I have come across many interesting and unique nicknames. Just out of morbid curiosity, could any of you explain the origin of yours? I am named after the Command Module of the Apollo 13 spacecraft.

more years ago than i care to admit, my workmates began to call me "easy rider", poking fun at me as i rode a bicycle to save up for my first custom motorcycle. one of my buddies morphed it into "cheezyrider" and the name just stuck like glue. i morphed into "cheezyflier" when i became a flight sim addict. it just seemed natural.

my nickname came from when i was watching a program on the history channel and they werw talking about WW2 aces and thats where acepilot came up then i added 32 for no particular reason then the numbers changed to acepilot156 then to finally acepilot180 and thats the origin of my name

Bel Geode is my stage name.... well was. Back in the mid 90s to 2001 I had a band in Florida named Dionysos, our gig was that we always dressed like we were in theater (costumes, like the rennaisance) and we all had stage names. My name comes from two places...

Bel in ancient mythology is the Celtic God of the Sun

A Geode is a stone that when cut open has gemstones lining the inside.

Put em together you have Bel Geode.... me.

So there you go.... hopefully the pix will stay up. I linked off of other sites.

Answered

Yes to the first one. I still do... and what are you asking me on the second one? Disembark from what? If you mean did we break up, yes we broke up shortly before I moved to Pennsylvania.

I'll contribute to this thread.
My nic is simple Col is short for Colin and the 7777 is my eldest daughter's birth-date, I just put them together.
I use this nic on all forums, I've been called Colonel and a lot mistake the 7777 for 777 and think it relates to a B777. 🙂

Good thing you said that, I would have assumed you were a Colonel who was born on 7-7-77. My daughter is 7-7-95 btw.
