I want to use the SDK but have no idea how to install it!
Please help
If you ever plan on building or updating airports in FSX... you need it.
If you ever plan on building missions for yourself or others... you need it.
If you ever plan on making custom gauges or planes... you need it.
Notice the trend here....
As far as install... it should have instructions with it... if not I will see if Ican find a website for u or a pdf.

I want to do all of those
Ummmm Lost my disk but looking
Found Disk, Found Instructions, Cant find SDK in FSX.
-Any Ideas
It's not on the disk?? What version of fsx is this?
Gold, and its on the Disk, and Installed on my computer just cant find any thing related to it in the game.
Oh you won't actually find it IN the game... unless you have the tools menu for it.... which is a little involved. Check that link Radarman posted. If it is what I think it is, it should tell you what to do to get that menu added so you can see things like addons for missions and whatnot.
As for doing airports in fsx, you will need FSX Planner... which is free.

I'd also like to create new textures for existing aircraft, how is this this done?

True, but it says that I can't install the SP2 because I have the Acceleration Expansion pack and that every thing in SP2 is also in the Acceleration Expansion pack. Is this true?
Ypu will need to run the SDK sp1 from the expansion pack. 😉
oops.
Vapor lock in the cranial fuel lines. Please ignore.

Load the Acceleration disk into the computer. Do not let it auto-run.
Go to Computer and right click the FSX Acceleration. Again, do not run the disc. Open the file and there will be an SDK folder. Open that folder and you will see SDK SP1. Run that program within that folder.
I needed to run that SDK program when I was designing and building airports for FSX. Also if you noticed, WoAI (World of AI) is not keeping the AI aircraft for certain carriers current. For instance, here in El Paso, not only you have UPS Cargo service, you also have FedEX and DHL Cargo services. In order to add their route and gates, you'll need that SDK.
Right now I am at work, and I as soon as I get home, I will confirm is that is the right way you can access the SDK SP1 from Acceleration.
So, one more thing. Where do I find the GMax? 🙄
In Microsoft Flight Simulator Deluxe.
But that version of GMax is old.

So where would I find a new one, and will I need it?

Next time, try Google. Took only 20 seconds to find it.
People are just lazy and what the easy way for answers. They don't realise it would be quicker to search Google themselves. 🙄
Oh well, what can you do eh? 😂
