Multiplayer connnectivity issues

when I click the create game spy account on the creation page I get a popup that says you have lost connection to the network. Please check your network connectivity. I am in fact connected to the internet. I don't know why this happens or how to get past it.

Have you provided incoming and outgoing exceptions in your Windows Firewall?
