Asked

Hello,

Would it be possible to include an additional reference for MSFS 2024 in the descriptions of the individual offers, or to create a separate category just for MSFS 2024?

In my opinion, this would make it much easier to search for add-ons specifically for MSFS 2024.

Maybe it’s worth considering.

Thanks for any possible edits and a resolution to this question.

Greetings,
Harold

Hi Harold,

Good suggestion, and I’m with you on the “make it easier to search” part.

At the moment we’re handling MSFS 2024 support through the existing Compatibility area on each add-on’s full page. As creators (and we) confirm something works in 2024, we add Flight Simulator 2024 to the compatibility list. When it’s confirmed, you’ll see it show as compatible (green check/tick).

The main reason we’ve been a bit cautious about a separate “MSFS 2024” category is that a lot of MSFS 2020 content is still in the “unknown / untested” bucket for 2024. Rather than implying “2024-ready” just because it’s listed somewhere, we’re trying to only mark 2024 once it’s actually verified.

A couple quick questions so I can pass along something actionable to the site team:

  • Are you mainly browsing aircraft, scenery, utilities, or “everything”? (Some categories would benefit more than others.)
  • Would a dedicated filter for “MSFS 2024 compatible” solve your problem, or are you specifically asking for a whole separate top-level category?
  • Are you seeing add-ons where the description says 2024 works, but the compatibility section doesn’t reflect it yet?

If you can share what you’re typically shopping for, I can suggest the cleanest way to implement this without creating confusion for anything that’s still untested.
