Hi,

Does anyone know how I can get in touch with Chris Klein (he created the Lunch on Catalina mission)? The email address included with that file is no longer valid.

Thank you in advance.

Hi SikHunt,

That one goes back a bit. When an author’s email in an older mission package bounces, the most reliable options tend to be the “where was it originally released?” route rather than trying to guess a current address.

A few practical things to try

  1. Check the original download library entry (where you got “Lunch on Catalina”). A lot of authors used the site’s internal PM system even after emails went stale, and sometimes their profile is still active even if the mailbox isn’t.
  2. Look inside the mission folder / docs again for any other contact breadcrumbs besides the email (readme, header comments, signature blocks). Sometimes there’s a second address, a handle, or a home VA/group name that leads you to the right person.
  3. Search your sim community forums for the author name and mission name together. If he posted support replies back in the day, you may find a username you can message.
  4. If you only need help with the mission (install/run/fixes), post what’s broken and folks can usually get it going without needing the author.

Quick question so I can point you the right direction (and avoid sending you on a wild goose chase):

  • Which sim is your “Lunch on Catalina” mission for (FSX boxed, FSX:SE, Prepar3D, etc.)?
  • Where did you download it from (which library/site), and do you still have the original ZIP?
  • What are you trying to contact him for specifically (permission to modify/re-upload, a missing file/key, troubleshooting)?

If you can paste the readme header (just the top section with the author info) using a  block, that usually tells us what community he was tied to.
