Hi
Can anyone shed anylight on the problem i am having with FSX.I have installed it correctly but when i come to run it i get the start up screen and it goes through the two loading sections and then after it has completed it just stops as if i have shut it down.I have ran the system check as posted on a previous question and it came back as running in the top 5% so i dont think that could be an issue,..
Any advice would be appreciated..
Thanks

Do you have Nero installed? Do you have Roxio installed? If you have, delete Nero, reboot and install. If it doesn't work, delete Roxio aswell, reboot and install.

Doesn't the Nero/Roxio issue pertain to installation failures only? I didn't think it had anything to do with problems running FSX. CrashGordon

It sounds like it could be an overheating problem, which can be rectified fairly easily. Try taking off the side of the case to allow some cooler air to circulate. If it does sort it, then you can install a fan in the tower which is cheap and easy.
Someone else more knowledgeable on hardware can confirm or correct this for you, but its common, especially when running something so high powered. Click below to support FSF:

Could the OP please provide the following information:-
Computer specifications inc graphics card, amount of space on HD etc.
What you actually see when this happens?
A screenshot of this happening?
Do you get this on any other program/sim/game? |

Disappointed because your fifth on the list.
Better resize that signature before you lose it.

You know that cryptic expressions are not my forte.
I have no idea how to resize my beautiful signature and instead of using such draconian measures I would at least expect to be given some guidance before the noose is tightened.
Besides, how come that the size of signatures has become an issue all of a sudden? Wasn't it I who in my subtle manner dared to lobby for sigs to be reduced to a more managable size?
I can only guess what will happen if I decide to use a flag as my signature.
Greekman72 and CRJCapt I'm glad you're having so much fun... oh to be young and foolish again
Final question: Does this signature size restriction apply to all members or just those who are not members of the insiders club? |
