R22 manifold pressure

The manifold pressure guage on the R22 Beta II does not behave correctly. For example at 2000 feet it should show 22 when climbing at 500 ft/min and 60 kts. Mine drifts down to something like 16 after initially being places at 22.
Does anyone know a cure?
