Follow the wizard instructions after installation.

Than from the SpamBayes plug in which appears to your mail browser you can handle-filter and check your e-mail ,folder by folder.(from SpamBayes Manager)

I think that if your read careful i bet you can set it up.Although i would gladly answer(if i can) to your questions 😉

you need to train it initially by giving it a folder of spam to look through...

its not too hard to setup once you get your head round it 🙂

Don't bother trying to send them mail. One, they are using throw-away addresses and simply start a new one when the old is cancelled. Two, the "from" part of an email can be easily forged.

Lost my patience with it

Can receive emails through the proxy but can't send. SMTP is the same proxy number as POP3 so shouldn't be a problem.

I'll give it another go when I've calmed down and had a beer

you just install it, click the setup thing... and point it at spam and stuff?

Yeah...No need to change anythingn to your E-mail set up.

That requires you to change your email clients setup Proxy and Port settings manually..... 🙄

Since I am using the spambayes experimental plugin for outlook, I'm uncertain of the problem you are encountering. But why are your trying to run your outgoing (smtp) through spambayes?

It's all a distant memory now that I really don't want to revisit....but since you ask.....I was reading the configure page, obviously not carefully enough, I missed where it says "SMTP proxy is optional".

I'm getting worked up again just thinking about it. Can we leave it there please?
