These should help you run it in XP.

Mine runs fine on XP Home.
What happens when you try to run it?
...cfs WWII series...
Are we discussing CFS2 or CFS3 or both or others?
I'm having the same problem. I'm running windows xp home edition. When I try to install the first version of CFS it starts to open the freezes. Hit control, alt, delete and it says its not responding. If I explore the disc and click "install game sampler" I get this message. "c:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt. This system file is not suitable for running ms-dos and microsoft windows applications. Choose "Close" to teminate the application.
Any ideas?
PS just for giggles I installed it on the wifes pc which is also xp home and it worked fine.

It sounds as if this link to MS will solve your problem.

what if your pc didn't come with a disc? Only file source is what was loaded from the factory.
I don't know who sold you your computer but they have to give you a licensed copy of Windows, or a recovery disk and driver disk. I understand that some load it onto the h/d but you should have a "official serial number" (hologram) that came with it.
If not then it's a pirate copy and I would report them to MS and let them press charges, they love doing that.
Call them and see what they have to say about getting you a copy of Windows that they installed on your machine.
Who is the company that built it, just curious.
