Hi chaps

Im trying to get a pedal system for Lock On, I have a HOTAS atm (saitek x52 as it is cheap and im on a budget) and i have been offered a set of CH Product pedals, but not the USB ones, the serial port variant. Now its under half the price of the USB version, but will it operate okay? I see CH products have software and drivers still out for it, but whats the main difference with the usb version

any info would be really apriciated, thanks people
