Hi ,i've downloaded Vladimir Zhyhulskiy' s fairchild c-123 , it use's default Douglas sounds .There don't seem to be any c-123 sounds around anywhere . What sounds could i use as the next best thing .

Thanks for reminding me of this beautiful C-123, I got it after reading your post.
Finding a suitable soundset wasn't easy though: It should be a PW twin radial. I finally settled for this one and I'm happy with it ➡

When you start your flight and your throttle is all the way back, you might not hear a sound at all. Don't panic. Just give it a few seconds and then slowly apply thrust and... hear the symphony begin 😀
I'm still trying to decide on a suitable panel, I don't care about VC - any suggestions?
Thanks for sounds Tailhook , i havn't tried them yet but will do with in the hour.
Initially i couldn't find the autopilot controls on the original panel so i went looking for a better one .i found this one it's version 2 of the original .
http://www.simviation.com/fs2004panels2.htm
But in realising it's going to be to much work to keep the original vc and version 2 of the panel not to mention beyond my abillity i reverted back to the original .
Then i found the autopilot controls at the bottom of the radio stack 🙄 .
If you do keep the orignal panel and the compass doesn't show .
You have to open the panel config , where it says "gauge17=wiskey-compass"
you have to change it to
"gauge17=Extra-300.wiskey-compass"
I also added this .

lol
Thanks for the sounds.

Thanks on your hints regarding the original panel Meylan. I don't have that panel because my original C-123 download is this one: http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=&Name=&FileName=c123zhv3.zip&Author=&CatID=root
...which includes Vladimir Zhyhulskiy's own panel.
Anyway, I'll have a look at the one at simvation by Claudio Sanchez.
I found another one: http://library.avsim.net/search.php?SearchTerm=c-123&CatID=fs2004pan&Go=Search
...which I haven't installed yet but appears to be compatible with the Caribou and the C-123 -- we'll see
Thanks for pointing out the radiocd4.zip -- I was wondering whether you'd seen the other one by Robert Clark, uploaded about a month later. I haven't looked at either one yet, but a comparison might be interesting. Both gauges are on this page: http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=&Name=&FileName=&Author=Robert+Clark&CatID=root
😀 😀
It seems we have the same file , i was mistaken to whom made the panel .
Found another panel you might like

Yes i did see the the other sound playback gauge but decided to go with the radio/cd4 . I've had a look at the one you linked to and i think radio/cd4 is the better file .Although it doesn't look authentic it has the abillity to play straight from the CD tray or from files on the HD.
This is one the finest aircraft i have ,certainly the most animated but can sometimes lower the fps to my dismay . I thinks it's time to upgrade from the 2400 sempron 1.67GHz i have . Thanks
Thanks for the panel, I'll check it out 😀
