Asked

I am trying to get away from using the cheat line (Shift Z - brings up the red text on the top of the screen)

Does anybody know how to use the GPS to get the longtitude and lattitude of your current position? Or is it not possible.

Would have thought it was a basic function of a GPS, to give you your Longs and Latts 😳 ❓

Thanks

You can't use the GPS to enter or to determine latitude and longitude coordinates. It's a function in the real unit but Microsoft didn't include the feature in Flight Simulator. There is a way of creating your own waypoint but it involves editing a flight plan, it's not simple and it's not something you can do while flying.
