Hello...when I am coming in on approach and start my decent in the CRJ Next Gen (all models), the auto speed selector comes on during the decent...the problem is you can't turn it OFF...so this is very tricky to have to turn the dial to slow the aircraft down...does anyone know how to disengage this control so the pilot can adjust the speed by the throttle control? Thanks!

I'm no expert but I know that if your approach is not safe then the auto throttle automatically accelerates your A/C to facilitate an emergency go-round-again.
Try getting your approach speed, flap setting and altitude within the reccomended limits.
