I have downloaded the AI Traffic Editor for FSX, and when I try to run it, an error box comes up and says "can't find the required Microsoft Flight Simulator SDK, would you like to search for it?"
I have installed the SDK off Disk 1 of FSX, but it is still showing up the problem. When I click the button to search for it and click on it, it comes up with another error box saying "Failed to write to registry!"
It then lets you get into the Traffic Editor, but whenever I try to install new AI Traffic, they have an error, and do not work.
Could anybody please help with this problem?
You may need this one too, an update.

Thanks for that,
I will see if it works...
Let us know if it helps.
Radarman,
When I try to install that SDK download, it comes up with a box that says 'you must have the flight simulator x SDK SP1A installed before you can install SP2 SDK.
Can I download this as well?
Here, I believe it comes on the Deluxe version only.

Radarman,
I do have the deluxe version of FSX which includes the acceleration pack, is it meant to automatically install the Service Packs?
Thanks for your help.
By installing the SDK SP1A, I have got the AI Traffic Editor to open without problems, and the error I was having is fixed, but a different error is coming up when I chose the option that says "would you like to deploy the generated A.I Traffic File to MS FSX?"
Do you know what is wrong?
Thanks
Yes it should have automatically loaded.
Try here for other question.
I've never used it so I just search out an answer.
Thanks for that..
The problem is that it says it cannot access the mytrafic.blg in world/scenery...
Thanks for your help
You might be better off in the long run by buying an AI program.
Good luck with whatever you do, designing isn't easy just because they give you the tools.
Radarman,
Thanks for your continual help.
Are there any other AI programs or packages that are worth looking at?
Are there any other websites that feature these for free?
Thanks
Most of the pay ones are very good and easy to install.
This one is free.
Radarman,
Thankyou, I will try it out when possible.
In case I think of purchasing one, could you suggest some links to good AI traffic packages?
Thanks
There are quite a few on this page.
Pick a name, feed it into Google, look at what it does and come back and buy one.
https://www.simshack.net/categories/flight-sim-utilities-25
I don't use one yet on FSX but for FS9 I used Ultimate Traffic and was very pleased with the aircraft and with the AI scheduling.
Thanks, will keep that in mind.
One other thing: on this website, when I type in a word/s in the search bar, it loads, and then nothing comes up.
I don't know what you mean it loads.
I type it in, hit "Enter" key and get results.
I type it I, hit enter key ad get no results. I have tried it multiple times.
Thanks.
Which search, the one on the left for the board or the one on the right to search the net, Simshack, downloads etc.
I did it in the one on the right of the page, under the "Sign Up" add.
Where is the one on the left?
I just tried it and it works.
put in what you want, press the "Go" button.
The one on the left (under "Home") searches this forum, it's possible you can't see it since you aren't a member, don't know.
Nope, doesn't work for me, just tried it then...
Thanks for the help..
If anyone else could give me any links to AI Traffic downloads or packages, it would be much appreciated.
Radarman,
I have gotten onto the world-of-ai downloads, do I have to have the aircraft as flyable ones before I can install these ai packages?
Thanks
Also, when I try to register at flightsim.com, where it directs me to when I click on the downloads, it has a space that says "Antispam, complete task" but there is nothing there in the space where the task should be.
Therefore, when I try to register, it says that my task solution was incorrect. Can you help?
Just follow the installer directions at world, the aircraft packages you install will work on their own.
As far as Flightsim, I have no idea how they register anyone any more.
email them and ask.
Thanks for that, have done, will see if they can help..
Let us know how you do.
I was just thinking, sometimes one browser will show the entire page while another will cut off the bottom.
Try another browser.
Radarman,
I tried Google Chrome, but it still had the same problem..
However the problem is In the middle of the page, so this might not be the problem..
I have contacted them and they are currently trying to help me with this problem.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks
Glad to hear that they are helping you.
Ideas, no that was the only one I could think of.
Radarman,
Their customer service sorted it out, and I am now downloading the packages.
Hopefully they will work.
Thanks for your help.
Good to hear.
I hope you enjoy them, it should change the game quite a bit...more realistic.
Radarman,
After all the hassle, I have finally got new AI Traffic Installed!!!
One thing though, FSX freezes up just about every flight, at different times....do you know what it could be??
Thanks.
Obviously it has something to do with your new add-on.
Lower the AI setting and see if it still does it.
Radarman,
I dramatically reduced my AI Traffic , but I am still having this problem.
I think it happens when I try to view the traffic by right clicking.
It's either that (don't do it as the old joke goes) or one of the aircraft is causing it.
Probably the clicking as you say, it may be changing the graphic intensity to fast for your card.
Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening?
Thanks.
If it's the aircraft you would have to delete one at a time, not worth the work.
If it the video card then a better (2gig) card might work.
Why don't you use the joysticks controls to scan what you want to see not jump so fast from one to another with a right click.
Thats what I try to do mostly, I only use the right click to view AI Traffic.
Can you do that on the joystick?
Thanks.
Just by using the sticks controls.
Tower view may help some.

What I mean Is clicking on the traffic for example "747-400" and it shows that aircraft In Locked Spot view.
Thanks.
Download this and see if it's of any help.

Radarman,
Sorry, I cannot view AI Traffic without rightclicking.
Thanks for the help.
Check these out, it's the first time I've seen them.
Make sure they work on your operating system.
