flight simX has no sound when played off line. why?

Chief CaptainIs this the boxed version or the Steam version.
Before you answer, press "Q" and see if your sound comes on.
If not: Start the sim, go to the sound menu, check that BOTH boxes are allocated to DEFAULT sound.
You could also check and see if you have the latest video and sound card drivers.
