Hi there
Looking for some help with an error message that occurs when I try to install FSX.
Message is : 1608 Unable to create installdriver instance.......Return code 2147024894.
Have copied DVD's 1 & 2 to a folder on my HDD in attempt to run setup.exe as administrator..
Tried on win 7 & win 10 with exactly the same error

Computer is Intel core2 duo E8600, 8GB RAM, GTX960 video card.
Any suggestions would be great.

Once again I really appreciate your assistance but after trying all the suggestions now when I insert the disk the window runs telling me that the installer is being readied & then nothing happens, not even an error message.

Forgot to mention that my OS is windows 10x64

Any more suggestions (please)

Try going to the DVD drive in the computer controls panel, click on open and double click on the install icon.

If that won't work, try disabling your anti-virus NOT the firewall and see if that does it.
Don't forget to re-able it.
