Can you have both FSX and MSFS 2020 on the same computer and use both of them at different times?

I don't see why not.
They are two seperate programs.

 Thanks Radar Man.  Makes sense to me. The Microsoft support man who helped me install
MSFS 2020 had me delete all of FSX. Said they were not compatible. Maybe  he only meant
that while MSFS 2020 was going through that long  8 hour download. Thanks again for your help.
