Troubleshooting Missing Static Aircraft at UK2000 Heathrow in FSX

I purchased the UK2000 Airfields package and the airports are good but Heathrow for instance has very few static planes on the gates - I have activated the common library within the package and set the options to show Static Aircraft also set all sliders to maximum for Aircraft in the FSX settings but there are a lot of gaps on the gates.

Does anyone have any ideas of what could be stopping the static aircraft from showing up ??

Understanding your concern about the UK2000 Airfields package and the lack of static aircraft at Heathrow, it's indeed frustrating when visuals don't align with expectations. Let me help guide you through some troubleshooting steps. Your love for realism in the flight simulation world is evident, and we want to ensure you get the most immersive experience possible.

1. Configuration Files Check:

  • Sometimes, after installation, not all changes reflect in the configuration file. Delve into the UK2000 configuration settings once more and make sure the option for static aircraft is indeed set to "true" or "yes". These settings sometimes don't save properly or might revert after a simulator update.

2. Graphics Settings:

  • Though you mentioned setting sliders to maximum for Aircraft in FSX, please also ensure other related sliders, like 'Scenery Complexity', are set to high. This can sometimes influence the number of static aircraft that are displayed.

3. Conflicting Add-ons:

  • It's possible that other scenery or aircraft add-ons might be conflicting with UK2000. Temporarily disable other add-ons and see if the static aircraft show up. If they do, then systematically enable each add-on until you find the culprit.

4. Library Priority:

  • In the FSX scenery library, ensure the UK2000 sceneries are higher up in the priority list. Sometimes, other global or regional sceneries can override specific airport settings if they're higher in priority.

5. Reinstall:

  • It sounds simple, but sometimes files get corrupted during the installation process. It might be worth uninstalling and then reinstalling the UK2000 package.

6. Check for Updates:

  • UK2000 may have rolled out patches or updates for compatibility issues or known bugs. Check their official website or support forum to see if there are any patches or updates available.

7. Graphics Card Drivers:

  • Keeping your graphics drivers up-to-date ensures optimal performance and compatibility. It might be a good idea to see if there's a newer version available for your GPU.

If, after trying these steps, the issue persists, it could be beneficial to get in touch with the support team over at UK2000. They might be aware of the issue and could offer a direct solution.

Remember, flight simming is all about trial, error, and continuous learning. Don't get disheartened; the solution is out there, and the community is always here to help. If you provide more specific details about any other add-ons or configurations you have, it could aid in pinpointing the issue faster.

Best of luck, and clear skies ahead!
