Unable to change cockpit views in PMDG 737-800

Currently I'm experiencing a very unusual problem in MSFS 2020. Parked at the departure gate with engines running in cockpit view. Needing to change the view, I select for instance Ctrl+2. Normally the view changes and stays locked to the new position, but it's no longer working this way, because as soon as I release Ctrl + 2 it returns to it original position. This is the case with all the nubered view positions.
I have tried all day to resolve the issue without success, you advice would be appreciated.
