FS2004 does not seem to have a simple way of adding aircraft etc. Downloading files say they have lots of free goodies but no one seems to say how to implement them. Or if they have it spoken in FS2004 ease which I am just learning.
If I down load an aircraft, what do I do to get FS2004 to see it??

Extract the contents of the.zip file into a temporary folder. Find the 'readme' file and look for installation instructions. If the instructions are not clear or confusing, read the link Greekman gave you or follow this tutorial
