installation problems FS2004

thander Guest

I am trying to install FS 2004 again, having had my computer to the computer store and the system reinstalled a while ago. When disc 1 is done I get the message to insert disc 2. I do. Then nothing happens and after a while a message tells me: "Please insert Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 disc 2 into drive D". I retry and the same procedure takes place. I thought there was something wrong with the the disc, so I went out and bought a new whole FS 2004! (I like the game!) What happens when I install? You guessed it. Exactly the same thing all over again.

Please somebody help me solve this problem. I don't even know what is going on.

It sounds like there's a fault with the CD-ROM drive. Have you tried other CD's??

I have 2 cd-roms and the result is the same in both of them.
One thing happened earlier. Disc 2 was accpted and I thought my problems were over, but, when it asked for disc 3 the same thing happened, i.e. nothing. Just stops installing.

Anyone out there with an idea?

When it asks for it you usually get choices, keep punching the "retry" or "continue" button until it accepts it.
You probably using burner CD drive not a CD drive only. Some burners have a difficult time loading some software.
I had that problem with IL2 Forgotten Battles, It took a long time to get loaded but I kept on forcing it.
