if you have sky or digital put bbc news 24 on and push that red button. there's a neat 10min or so feature on the a380 where you get to see the simulator (news man actually flies it while interviewing) and he walks around the inside of the real thing showing all the monitering equipment and cockpit etc. also the landing vid - watch ALL heathrow's workers stop and watch haha.

pretty cool stuff.

I saw that landing. Would someone let the pilot know that wagging the wings during landing, is not a great idea.

It is not... Surprised

Either he had a crosswind that wasn't obvious from anything else that I saw, or it was a pretty wobbly landing.

🍻 To the A380!

A 'cross-wind' was mentioned in one of the TV reports - but maybe he was just waving to the crowds 😂

I think it was a South-Westerly wind and he was landing runway 27L so probably a slight crosswind but it was quite cloudy and turbulent, so probably lots of air pockets 😉

in the metro it said about strong winds.

Answered

It is possible, the camera angles really didn't give me anything to view that would show that there were crosswinds.

If it was a tail wind from 270 degrees, then they probably would have landed on either runway 9L or 9R because aircraft nearly always land into and take off into the wind, given the chance 😉
