Hi,

I just purchased this model and would like to know how to set a speed because when i look where the speed selector intsrument is, I press the tab to the left of it and it doesn't go orange - I guess this is how you normally select a speed/hold a speed. 😕

Maybe I have a fualty speed holder switch??

Or is there an FMC - if so how do I program this??

Thanks

Think about it. When have you ever seen an IAS hold on a prop a/c?

Some turbo props has.

SAAB 2000.(No function though)
DHC 3 Otter NG.(Custom Cockpit)
Pilatus PC-12.
&
C-130.

And probably some more.

PMDG Beechcraft doesnt have this functionality.

Which leads to my next question. How many real world a/c have such a feature -vs- how many FS a/c. And, if it is substantially different, why?

I think most real-word airliners have VS...its just that pilots choose to control this via the FMC these days. Im not sure about other sorts of planes but would have thought it would be a similar situation 😉
