I flew into CYYG last night in the dark and when I changed the time of day so I could look around the airport was out in the middle of the water. is this a flaw in Fs2002's scenery or is it my sys?

You're a bit vague here. I assume that you may have exited your flight without saving it prior to changing the time of day.
