What would you suggest would be a good pc to handle it? (I can afford to spend around £1500)

Here's what you'll need

Windows Vista (not yet released)
Intel Core 2 Duo 3 ghz processor (not yet released)
3gb of 4000 ram
512mb Directx 10 Video card (not yet released)

Shoud get decent results with that.

Just a small correction 3GB of 400 DDR Ram.

And a Power Supply at least 650W.

And while you are at it, you will need to find a wealthy relative to help defray the cost of all this.

Since I am going for a plasma screen HDTV this year, it will be a while before I upgrade my computer.

Until I do, I will be running FSX off my 300 GB external USB 2.0 drive connected to my P4 2.8 GHz with 512 MB RAM, 128 MB of which is shared with an onboard GFX chip.
