Can somebody explain to me exactly what an auto-rudder is? When I check the box in setting, its much easier to control, but I was to know exactly what that means.

Auto rudder is mainly for those who don't have a joystick that twists, or foot pedals for that matter, that enabel the aircraft to "Yaw." So, once the box for the option "Autoruder" is checked it enables the rudder to take effect only when you turn to bank on your joystick, or keyboard.
