I'm having a problem using the N1, when I set it and set approach on it turns to the right and descends at a dangerious v/s and crashes. Can somebody please tell me what I should have on and off for N1 approach.

Please don't link me to joleggs guide, it doesn't help me with this problem, because others have linked me there.

You'll have to define what you mean be"N1 approach", that's not a correct term. I'll assume that you mean setting the NAV 1 for a ILS or LOC approach. You have to do specific things for the ILS to work. the aircraft has to be in the right position to start with. If you are approaching at the wrong angle or position, it won't work. The 747 is the wrong aircraft to learn these procedures, use the Cessna 172. 🙂

I can do all the other aircraft perfectly, the Cessna, a 757 an Airbus 738 but I'm having problems with this 747. You obviously cannot start in a 747 and I know the procedures. My Dads a pilot, he fills me in on these things. Yes, I did mean the ILS Approach, I said N1 becuase...I have no idea. I cannot get what I'm doing wrong.

Is the 747 you're flying the MS default aircraft or an add-on?

Default with an add-on livery.

Could it be something as simple as having NAV1 tuned to a different runway thanthe one you're expecting??

No, it's ok I solved the problem. I just went back the 737 landed it fine, went back to the 747 and all went well.
