the learning centre is in FSX if you didnt know Wink

i'm not a professional pilot or fsx pilot but from my own experience i land the plane at 170-180 knots.

i start the flap incrementation at 8000 feet to 2500. make sure your engines are working nice and hard incase you have to pull up to avoid accidents.

people correct me if i'm wrong.

Is landing at 170-180 knots ok for Gatwick?

don't lower the flaps over 250 knots, I don't start lowering flaps till about 5000ft at around 200kts to 220kts, with a 747 I usually give myself a long straight (if poss) approach.
