😳 Are you sure this sim isn't too complicated for noobs?
Michlin, that's a great reference chart. I just printed it out.
Whitenack, I'll tell you a secret, but don't tell anybody
When I bought my Flight Simulator 2004 I didn't know how to use it well. I didn't even know anything about Navigation, ATC, aircraft configuration, etc. But I practiced and I practiced using my Learning Center and alse finding websites on Internet with information.
I always wanted to be a pilot, since I was a kid, so I didn't stop looking for information. I bought this simulator like one year and a half ago (I think) and I love it.
I don't know everything about aviation. I'm not a professional, but know I know more than I did before. And do you know how I learned all the information I know about aviation? Using my Learning Center, posting posts here and looking for information in websites.
This simulator was complicated to me at first when I bought it, but now I'm used to it and I know a lot about it. I'm sure you will be comfortable with the simulator soon. Trust me.

If you have any interest in flying, then you will love it....Ill bet that you will be in the air in about 2mins of starting the sim(and back down in 10 secs )
But be warned, there are a number of bugs that may bite you
1st just flying
2nd adding more and more aircraft
3rd adding more and more scenery
4th sounds
And the 5th and most dangerous one Trying to pass the flying tests
Also be prepared to go days without sleep, seeing your family, eating on your own,and the arguments 🙄
Despite all of the bad bits, there is always all your new friends here at flyaway
Go get it,get the bug 😉
Nice site, I printed it out, thanks for the tip.
You're welcome, guys! Anything we can do to help one another... 😀

Michlin,
That is a good sheet to have. Something else that is different but pretty interesting is linked below. AIR NAV SYSTEMS allows you to track flights of loved ones and or just follow the progress of flights across country in addition to other places internationally. I guess one might have to be an aero-geek to enjoy this program but here it is anyway. Air Nav-Sponsor of Fly Away.
