Adding gauges to panel

Hi... I have been trying to add a working radar gauge to the panel of an airbus A380 but every time I do the gauge appears behind the panel and
is hidden. I have changed the position of the gauge so it is visible through the windshield and it is there and working but if I move it with the mouse it disappears behind the panel. How do you get the gauge installed so that it overlays on the main panel and can be positioned wherever needed.

Thanks

I don't know where you got the gauge from, you might have made it yourself. Either way, your problem seems to be the correct placement of the gauge. Again, I don't know if you have done this before and whether you've learned this via a tutorial or followed the instructions by prolific gauge designers such as Rob Barendregt and Glenn Copeland to name but two.
I'll probably make a few suggestions which you have already acquainted yourself with and thus will be of no use, but we have to start somewhere.

The FS Panel Studio may help you understand certain aspects of gauge placement: http://www.fspanelstudio.com/screenshots.htm -- a limited Demo version is available here: http://www.fspanelstudio.com/demoversion.htm
The PDF User Manual just below the download link might be of help too.

Also, have a look at this file: http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=&Name=&FileName=adding_tuners.zip&Author=&CatID=root -- if nothing else, do a ZipDive and have a look at Add Tuners.doc
I'm suggesting this because David "Opa" Marshall writes excellent instructions and you might gleam a solution in those.

On this page from Simviation you might also find something useful: http://simviation.com/fsdesign_panels1.htm

In one of Glenn Copeland's gauges I have found a PDF called Gauge Coordinates / Understanding Gauge Coordinates: https://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads/files/2900/fs2004-clear-view-gauge/

In any of Rob Barendregt's gauges you will also find very clear and detailed instructions, just look for something like Adapting the panel.cfg file.in his ReadMe files.

I realise that none of the material I suggested pertains specifically to radar gauges but I think that is irrelevant in solving your problem. I am almost certain that what you are struggling with is the correct placement which applies to all gauges.
