add-on for F.S.X

Hi there i tried to download an aircraft but i cant seem to find the aircraft.cfg file can someone help me with this i am using Window 7

Go into the folder of the aircraft that you want to access,. look for the cfg, right click and open with notepad.

The folder is in Microsoft Games or Games on your "C" drive.
It's in the main FSX folder called simobjects/airplanes.

I am new to this site and not all that computer savy. How do I get the downloads to run with FSX? When the file says run I send it to MSG FSX but I cant get then to run. any ideas?
