On my fs4 version the flight director shows both vertical and horizontal crosshairs to guide aircraft manually. On my FSX the crosshair works fine for altitude but not for course. If FD is on and I enter altitude and press button to activate and then change rate of climb the dot in center (737-800) will move accordingly. Changing the course selector and activating it only moves the dot an almost negligible amount. AP is not on. Flight director works fine for learjet and Beechcraft but not 737, 747, or airbus. Any ideas?
