707 addon problems

i recently downloaded an addon plane, a 707. after getting everything in place and loading in the sim, the virtual cockpit was completely gone/wouldn't load. i read the readme, which told me that for people using fsx acceleration (me), i should play in 1028x768, disable light bloom as well as preview directx10. previously, the preview directx10 did not show up in settings, and was fixed by downloading fsx sp1 and sp2. the readme did say that it was tested with fsx, windows xp and vista, and wondows 7 32bit. i currently am running windows 10 so perhaps it is impossible to make it work, though i would hope there's a solution because i really like the 707.
