Problems After FS9.1 Update - Please Help!

Before updateing to 9.1 I was able to take flying lessons OK and now when I choose the menu option the program crashes back to the desktop.
I thought updates were supposed to improve things?
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

The update has to be installed step by step, if you miss one your going to have problems.
I didn't add it, see if there is a way to delete it and start over again.
If your using the NO-CD crack you have to change from the one for 9.0 to 9.1.
In the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9 there is an FS9UpdateUninstall.exeYou can run it and unistall the update.If you dont have it in there it means that you dont set it up correctly so you have to unistall FS and make a clear installation.Then run it again.
