Would someone please let me know what "FS9" is?

I'm new here, see all the references, but have no idea what it is!

Phoebe,

FS9 is the newest Flight Simulator that is out at the moment (soon to be FSX). Obviously the FS stands for Flight Simulator and the 9 is the issue number i.e. the 9th version. Some choose to call it FS2004; its release year, some prefer to call it FS9. FSX (the X being the roman numeral for 10) is being released this month.
