I have the flight director switch on.. but then there are the four different autopilot switches (i have no clue which does what).

Programing the FMC is not easy for most people. I don't have the program but PMDG has manuals that should help you, here is the link:

Well the documentation should still help you with the autopilot "flight following".

You have to set up the fmc in order to let the autopilot fly, once you have set up the fmc, take off and then asap press the left CMD button followed by the LNAV button, the fmc will the follow your route.

Hope this helps.

When you want to have your plane do what you programed in the cdu/fmc
do the following>>>>

first set the FD switch

set autopilot

afther take off above 400 feet push the CDM A button

to make the plane follow the instructions of the CDU/FMC computer:

first push the L Nav button to make it follow the flight path

and then the V Nav button to make it follow the vertical path.

set the altitude at the setting the plane is going for.

It only works when the CDU/FMC is having the right info.

I have a manual in dutch so there i can,t help you.

Hope you can do someting with this info.
